When you visit our office for a comprehensive exam, you may see us use an intraoral camera. This is a small, pen-shaped device we use to capture high-quality images of your teeth. The design of intraoral cameras allows us to easily move through different areas of the mouth that can be difficult to reach. By using an intraoral camera, our dentist can:

- Detect damaged fillings
- Evaluate the current state of your oral health
- Diagnose cracked or chipped teeth
- Perform an oral cancer screening
- Create a personalized treatment plan for your smile
- Have easier access to images of your teeth for future reference
We use intraoral cameras as an educational tool for you to make informed decisions for your health. After we capture these images, they will appear on a nearby monitor for us to show you what we can see. From there, our dentist will advise your treatment options and give us an opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have. We also can send these photos to other dentists or specialists if needed.
